Surf Fun Safe Life Saving Program

Year 6 students will be participating in the ‘Surf, Fun, Safe’ Program. It is a one-day event where students will learn different Surf Life Saving techniques and games. This program is run and supervised by Surf Life Savers. When: Wednesday, 13 November 2024 Where: Nobbys Beach, Newcastle Time: Depart 8.00 am from Singleton PS and return approximately 4.00 pm at Singleton PS Cost: $35.00 Students are to wear full school uniform including their hat. Students are to bring their towel, swimmers, thongs (for the beach), sunscreen and any extra clothing needed. They must wear enclosed shoes to school. Students are required to bring a packed lunch with plenty of water. Please return the permission note and payment by Friday, 8 November 2024

Year 5 Great Aussie Bush Excursion

Great Aussie Bush Camp Excursion

The Year 5 major excursion for 2024 is to The Great Aussie Bush Camp at Tea Gardens from Tuesday, 3 December – Friday, 6 December 2024 (three nights in total). The excursion supports and enhances our study of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education curriculum, while also promoting independence and mutual co-operation among students. Weather permitting, we hope to offer the following activities during the excursion;  Dual Flying Fox  Giant Swing  High Ropes  Indoor Rock Climbing  Mud World  Canoeing  Mud World  Raft Building  Powerfan  Night Activities, including Commando Spotlight and County Fair The approximate cost will be $485.00 for each student. Students will travel by a seat belt equipped coach provided by Great Aussie Bush Camp. Full information packs will go home closer to the date of the camp. We welcome you to go online and find out more information at www.bushcamp.com.au. To secure a place, students are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $50.00, which needs to be paid by Wednesday, 11 September 2024. The final balance is due by Monday, 25 November 2024. No late payments will be accepted. Full details can be found on the online permission note. This online permission note will be used in replacement of a paper copy permission note. Parent/carers will need to click on the link in the email sent from the School Bytes system, and scroll down. Under the information about the activity, you will need to give permission by selecting yes, or no, if your child will not be attending, complete the other fields, sign and click the submit form button. There is also a link to Make an Online payment. If you would like a paper copy, click the View online form button, and select print. Fees in Advance credits can be applied when making payment or can be applied by contacting the school office.
