Athletics Carnival

Athletics Carnival

2024 Years 3-6 Athletics Carnival (and Year 2 students turning 8)

Our School Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday, 17 May 2024 at Rose Point Park, Singleton.  The carnival is for all students in Years 3-6 and students in Year 2 who are turning 8 in 2024.

The event is covered by the 2024 General Permission note, so no permission is required.

Attending students will need to come to school first and assemble under the COLA from 9:00 am with their class teacher.  Students on late arriving buses will join their classes on arrival. We will leave school at 9:15 am, ready to start at 9:30 am

Students will need to wear suitable sport clothes in their house colours - Kendall – Red, Gordon – Yellow, Paterson – Green, Lawson – Blue.  Please bring  school hat, sunscreen and plenty of water.

There will be no canteen facilities available, therefore please pack enough food and water for the day.

Students will be walking to and from Rose Point Park with their teachers. At the end of the day, students may go home with parents from Rose Point Park.  Parents MUST sign their child out at the recording/admin desk before leaving the park.

The High Jump events will take place at school during sport times and will be sent out on the School App. Absent students on their allocated day will miss the event.

The support and help of parents and family on the day is essential to running a quality carnival. If you are able to assist at the Carnival, please complete and submit your details.

The carnival is for ALL students in Years 3 to 6. All K-2 students will stay at school and have normal classes (with the exception of the participating 8-year-old Year 2 students).  All Year 3 to 6 teachers will be supervising at the carnival.  Therefore, it is expected that all students in Years 3 to 6 will attend the carnival as it is a regular school day, and the carnival is part of our PDHPE/physical activity curriculum.

There is no cost for this excursion. The event is covered by the general permission note.
