Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

Our P&C is a group of parents, carers and school community members. They assist with school planning, fundraising, events and volunteering. Our P&C works in partnership with our school to promote the interests of our school community and to support our students.

The P&C operate our canteen, Breakfast Club, organise our uniforms at Lowes, fundraise and donate funds to the school for uses such as the purchase of equipment, resources and playground upgrades.

Joining the P&C is a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!

Volunteer at our school

Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your school community.

Volunteer opportunities include:

All volunteers that come into the school either in the Canteen, Breakfast Club, as class helpers, to attend excursions, etc must have completed a Digital Declaration. As part of the screening process, members of the community working or volunteering in our school must complete a declaration that provides their basic name and contact details. They must also consent to the department’s privacy policy and declare that there is no relevant reason (such as a serious criminal conviction) why they should not be granted access to school grounds during school hours.  Lastly you will need to show an office staff member your driver’s licence to confirm your identity.

Overnight excursions and transporting students other than your own also requires volunteers to have a volunteer’s Working with Children Check. This will need to be added to the Digital Declaration when completing it online.

Get in touch to find out how you can help!  Message the Singleton PS P&C on Facebook to get in touch with one of our friendly P&C members, or contact the school office.
